Smile Proud Again with handcrafted veneers

Many people consider veneers because they feel self-conscious about their teeth when smiling, speaking or being photographed.

Dental veneers are thin restorations bonded to the front surface of the teeth. They can improve the colour, shape and proportions of teeth to create a more balanced and natural-looking smile.

With careful planning, veneers can improve several of these concerns at once while still looking natural and in harmony with the rest of your smile.

Crafted In Collaboration With Our In-House Ceramist

At many clinics, veneers are designed by the dentist but fabricated in an external laboratory.
At Mulgrave Dental Group, your dentist works directly with our in-house ceramist throughout the planning and fabrication process.

The Mulgrave Integrated Smile Design Process

Meet with your cosmetic dentist for a comprehensive consultation. During this appointment we’ll assess your smile, take digital scans and photographs, and discuss your goals. From there, we’ll walk you through the treatment options that may be suitable for you.

Using digital planning technology, we explore different shapes, proportions and shades to design a smile that suits your features. In many cases, temporary veneers can be placed so you can trial your proposed smile for around a week before any final restorations are made.

Your dentist works closely with our in-house ceramist throughout the design and fabrication process. This collaboration allows careful attention to detail when crafting your veneers, including colour, translucency and overall aesthetics.

The Life-Changing Power of a Smile Makeover

Once your veneers have been crafted, you’ll return for your fitting appointment. We carefully place and assess each veneer to ensure the result feels comfortable and natural before final bonding.

FAQ's

Veneers are an investment in a smile you can be proud of, and we want to make sure you’re comfortable with the process. Find answers to our FAQs below.

Absolutely! As a part of the veneers process we’ll make sure you get a chance to test drive your new smile before it’s cemented in.

During your Smile Trial you’ll first get to trial virtual veneers, rapidly swapping colours and shapes to see what you like. Then we’ll fit you with temporary veneers that you can walk around with for a week, seeing how it feels while our experts hand-craft your permanent set.

Not always. The amount of preparation needed depends on your teeth and the type of veneers being planned.

In many cases, only a very small amount of enamel is adjusted so the veneer sits naturally and comfortably. Some patients may even be suitable for minimal-preparation veneers.

Before any treatment begins, your dentist will carefully assess your teeth and explain exactly what would be required, so you feel fully informed and comfortable with the plan.

The cost of veneers in Australia can vary depending on a few factors, such as the material used and the number of veneers required. Generally you’ll need enough veneers to completely cover your smile line, and a common smile line comprises of six teeth (though wider smiles may encompass eight or more teeth).

During your Smile Design Consultation, our friendly cosmetic dentistry team will provide you with a detailed estimate of the cost based on your specific treatment needs.

Dental veneers are a great option for anyone looking to improve the look and brightness of their smile, and who want a relatively straightforward procedure to get there. Happy patients often talk about how veneers helped them with their self-confidence and made them feel like they could finally smile again.

This question is tricky to answer on our website because it very much depends on your budget, your unique needs and the goals you have for your smile.

As a rule of thumb, porcelain veneers are considered the superior option, with composite resin the next best (composite veneers can also be installed in just one visit). Porcelain usually comes at a higher cost, but patients often prefer the look and feel compared to composite.

Still, it’s all about you. We’ll talk about what will work for you best when you come in for your initial veneers consultation.

It’s possible that your mouth will feel a bit different after your veneers…but in a good way!

The reason you’re seeking out veneers treatment is to treat an issue, perhaps misaligned teeth, gaps, cracks, etc. Veneers will help to improve that problem and renew your confidence in your smile, which may naturally feel a bit different at first. After all, you’ve finally got the smile you’ve been waiting for.

But, just like it would if you got new glasses or shoes, it won’t take long for the new you to feel totally normal.

We offer a variety of flexible payment plans for dental veneers. Here you can spread out the cost of your treatment, paying in simple, manageable monthly instalments. We offer both zero- and low-interest options, depending on your budget.

Financing programs are also available, allowing you to finance the cost of dental veneers through reputable third-party financing companies. These programs often provide competitive rates and flexible repayment terms, simplifying the management of your treatment costs.

Dental insurance plans sometimes cover cosmetic dentistry treatment, including veneers. If you’re not sure what your insurance will cover, chat with us during your Smile Design Consultation and we’ll walk you through it.

A natural result is one of the most important parts of veneer treatment.

Modern veneers are designed to mimic the subtle colour, texture and translucency of natural teeth.  Having an in house ceramacist allows for personalised results as the ceramist is able to match the colour of your teeth on site and in person. Rather than creating a “one-size-fits-all” look, your smile is carefully planned to suit your face, smile shape and existing teeth.

The aim is for your veneers to blend naturally with your smile so they look like your own teeth, just improved.

Veneers are designed to be a long-lasting solution, but their lifespan can vary depending on factors such as the material used, oral hygiene and everyday habits.

Porcelain veneers often last many years when well cared for, while composite veneers may require maintenance or replacement sooner.

Regular dental check-ups and good home care can help keep your veneers looking and functioning well for as long as possible.

Like any dental procedure, veneers come with some potential risks, which your dentist will discuss with you beforehand.

These may include temporary sensitivity, wear or chipping over time, or the possibility that a veneer may eventually need repair or replacement.

A thorough assessment and careful planning help reduce these risks and ensure veneers are a suitable option for you.
